Treat and Prevent Foot Injuries
The Foot Stabilizer is a soft thermal foot orthosis designed to treat and prevent foot injuries. It alleviates foot pain and helps prevent injuries with its' vice-like effect by maintaining the midfoot structure between the hindfoot and the forefoot. By supporting the midfoot, the Foot Stabilizer maintains the natural articulations of the foot. It also provides compression and support of the midfoot to minimize pain associated with midfoot injuries.
One Orthosis, Multiple Configurations to Treat Various Injuries
The Foot Stabilizer may be configured in 4 basic designs to treat many different injuries and conditions. You may even adjust the recall straps to produce an anti-pronation or anti-supination effect. The Foot Stabilizer can effectively treat conditions such as:
Application:
STEP 1: Place the foot in the orthosis, insert the heel. Grab the edges of the Metatarsal Collar, pull them apart. Pull forward on the Metatarsal Collar to be sure that the collar reaches the base of the toes.
STEP 2: Attach the gripping ends on the dorsum of the foot. Grasp the edges of the Malleolar Collar with both hands and pull them apart.
STEP 3: Attach the gripping ends of the Malleolar Collar on the front of your leg.
STEP 4: Pull on the inner collar recall strap, cross it over the mid foot and attach it to the maelleolar collar. Extra tension produces an anti-pronation effect.
STEP 5: Pull on the outer recall strap, cross it over the mid foot and attach it to the malleolar collar. Extra tension produces and anti-supination effect.
STEP 6: Extra tension on both recall straps produces an anti-drop foot effect.
STEP 7: Attach the gripping edges of the elastic Tarsal collar. Holds the cross over straps in place to assist maintaining the mid foot between the hind and forefoot. Assists with restricting the movement of the material in the forefoot area.
